This portable tubular microscope is a French-made device. It is a very little known model. It measures 11 cm. folded length and 29 mm. diameter. It is a small and very light microscope so it is very handy. The whole device is made of brass. At one end of the tube is the eyepiece and the terminal end is covered with a metal cap. By removing this cap, it is possible to observe the target that is fixed. Its obverse acts as a platen or container for the samples to be observed. It has lightweight legs that fold over the sides of the optical tube. The terminal indicates as manufacturer and model: Microscope Universal Agrost Variable Breveté S.G.D.G.
