The J. Swift & Son monocular microscope is a simple microscope. Its stand is the so-called English foot or “Crouch foot”. It has three legs, two at the front and a wide, curved back. It measures 18 cm. High.

Its macro focus is manual, turning the optical tube and the micrometric one by means of a horizontal wheel, located on the support axis. He has a revolver with two objectives. Its condenser is simple in wheel with five holes. It is included in the plate and protrudes from the front, and can be easily handled by the observer. It has a wooden case that contains two objectives with the manufacturer’s name on their cases.
