This Midgard System Pocket Microscope is the smallest and simplest microscope ever made. The slide is placed in the opening by pressing on the side supports. Focusing is achieved by turning the eyepiece towards the object to be observed. 50X magnification. Device dimension 51 mm long and 22 mm in diameter. Made in Germany.

It was supplied with a series of insect, plant and tissue preparations, as well as a concave slide for viewing liquids. A battery-powered illuminated version was manufactured by the Mikro company (see number 27a, illuminated magnifying glass).
