This large James Woolley & Sons monocular microscope is a large and robust microscope measuring 42cm tall. Its macro focus is carried out by means of a rack engraved in the optical tube and which is moved with a single knurled wheel located on the right side. The micrometric focus is achieved by means of a horizontal wheel located on the support axis. It has a single simple goal. The stage is fixed, square with two clips to hold the preparation. The stand is shaped like an eagle’s claw and is reinforced by two side pillars, which makes it very heavy. It is fixed to a 13 × 20 cm wooden base. The weight of the device is 3,500 gr.
