This Beck & Beck monocular microscope model was manufactured under No. 11,708. It is an evolved model and has a modern appearance.
All components of the device are made of brass. Its plate is fixed with a square shape. It is a variant of the model that appears in the catalog of the English firm as «economic with glass stage», designed in 1868.
Its foot is shaped like a Y, filled with lead. It is a tilting device and has a flat-concave mirror. This microscope still has its original clear enamel. Simultaneously, this same model was manufactured with two revolver objectives and a glass or transparent plastic stage, thus the 73rd microscope specimen in this collection.
